Travel Packing Tips
Here are some travel packing tips and tricks I found which I want to share with everyone:
1). Take magazines rather than books. Books can be heavy and usually you want to keep them so carrying them around is not ideal. At least with magazines they are lighter and you can throw them away once you have read them.
2). Make sure all your clothes will go with everything. Too many people try to take their whole wardrobe with them but pack clothes that are universal and are interchangeable and you will be fine.
3). Take small pots of shampoo, toothpaste etc as large bottles don’t get smaller once you start using the contents.
4). Get a haircut that doesn’t require styling products. Hair gel, and hairspray etc take up space in your bag and also add weight!
5). Wear the clothes that take up the most space when you are on the aeroplane. The plane can sometimes be cold and it will create extra space in your bag.
6). Try and roll your clothes up, it will take up less space and also stop creases.
7). Take all your old socks and underwear you would be throwing away anyway, wear it and then throw it away as you go. This will create extra space in your bag.
8). Take 2 pairs of shoes/trainers etc so that if one pair gets wet or muddy you can always wear the other pair!
9). Put things like suncream, hair gel in bags if you think they might leak. The last thing you want when you have limited clothes is a bag which has got wet and sticky.
10). Not really packing related but make sure you have plenty of money in case you need to buy anything you have left at home or didn’t have room for in your bag.
I hope these tips were of some use and enjoy your trip!
