Who is your driver? I had Jarrod, what a cheeky chappy from Dunedin he was! Disco Lodge is just an easy default place to stay as Kiwi Exp have reserved places. However, if you find that moving to the YHA is a little expensive, then you can try Southern Laughter - it's just a little up the hill (up the stairs round the corner from Disco Lodge, past Buffalo Bar) and is still central, mega comfy, small 4 bed dorms with their own living area and FREE soup at 6pm - it's an awesome soup that fills you up and saves the $ on food. It's around £25 per night but totally worth it - I think I spent around 3 weeks there in total. So you gotta give it a try is YHA doesn't work out. Glad you are having a great time. It's a little over a year ago since I moved to Queenstown...I miss it so much! Is there any snow on the mountains yet or is it still a little warm so the sun keeps burning it off? xx Hey dude!
